Food and Drink in Nursery
Nuts are not permitted, 'may contain trace of nuts' foods are acceptable.
Children should not arrive at Nursery eating or drinking. Likewise, at the end of the day any food, drink or treats must only be given once you have left the building.
Children have access to drinking water at all times as well as milk and a healthy snack mid morning and mid afternoon.
Dress
Please dress children sensibly so that they may fully enjoy the rough and tumble of outdoor play and paint and glue in art activities.
All children need a complete set of spare clothes.
NB Children are not permitted to wear jewellery to Nursery.
Accidents and Medicines
Only prescribed medicines may be administered by Nursery staff and parents MUST sign the medicine book for dosage to be given and at the end of each day to acknowledge that medication has been given.
We provide Calpol should your child develop a temperature or be in pain.
The Nursery must be informed if your child has received any medication prior to attending Nursery.
Illness
Should your child become ill at Nursery it is essential that either the parent or emergency person be available to collect your child within half an hour of being informed.
Children who have suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea cannot be accepted until 48 hours have passed after the last bout.
Other illnesses (some obvious, others not so obvious) also demand exclusion.
If you are in any doubt as to whether your child should be kept at home please telephone the Nursery to discuss your child’s symptoms.
The Nursery reserves the right to your child being treated by a doctor in the event of an emergency.
